I love it when a plan comes together. The timing could not have been better, as Shorelineoutandabout.com is all about people getting together and having a good time.  This Friday is no exception, and I really think you are going to like what we have in mind.

The first stop, and our gathering point will be one of my favorite haunts. The Stone House Restaurant. Many of you know it, but for those of you who don’t, you need to come on down and join us. Tucked away in the scenic Guilford Marina, with views of Long Island Sound, Faulkner’s Island, and an extensive selection of wine, it is a great starting point. They offer both an exceptional dinner menu featuring some extraordinary seafood, and a bar menu for those who want to eat on the lighter side.

You can either hang there, or travel with us to the Stony Creek Gallery. Here they are celebrating the opening of a show featuring several artists, such as Hannah Baldwin and Fern Berman to name a few. The artist will be present, and wine and cheese will be served. So far, we have planned a little  bit of socialization, a little more socialization with some culture thrown in, so what else can we possibly do next?

How about it’s time to get the funk out? As in one of the best Funk bands in the state. The Funk Brokers,Inc. will be appearing at Leon’s Restaurant in New Haven. You can’t beat these guys for high octane dance music, and some seriously original arrangements. Think AC/DC meets Bob Marley. Trust me,it works.
