Voted "Best Blues Band in CT" by the readers of the Hartford Advocate in 2005, 2007 and 2008, Ryan Hartt & the Blue Hearts' combination of traditional West Coast, Chicago and Texas-flavored blues has garnered the band some pretty hefty credentials, including two critically- acclaimed albums on their own Far-Tone Records label (the later of which was a top-eight finalist in the International Blues Foundation's 2006 "Best Self-produced CD" contest) and winners of the 2003, 2006 and 2009 CT Blues Challenges. Their 2003 debut release, "Empty Wallet", produced by Rick Holmstrom, received praise from fans, critics, DJs and musicians throughout the world. Their 2005 release, "Yeah Man!", featuring special guest Junior Watson, added swamp blues, organ trio jazz, West Side blues, 40's R&B and just a dash of roots rock to the 50s styled Chicago and Jump blues they have become known for. The band is currently working on their third record. The band was formed in April of 2000 by members Ryan Hartt (singer/ harmonica player), Eric Ducoff (guitar), Jeff "JB" Berg (bass) and Nick Toscano (drums). For more info, visit ryanhartt.com
