October is a great month on the Connecticut Shoreline. That whole Halloween thing, the changing of the leaves, and the great weather that makes this one of my favorite months. Here at Shoreline Out and About, we are going to highlight why this month totally rocks. If there is a Halloween party going on, we will find it. I have a great article about “wandering” that I hope you will enjoy, and I will tell you where to go. Wandering that is. It is Restaurant week in Connecticut, and we will fill you in on that here to, but more on that in a bit. Mark Grabowski,who can probably tell you anything you need to know about horror movies, has got some really creepy articles lined up. From the “Leatherman” to New Haven’s “Midnight Mary”, a top 10 horror movie list, and a few surprises that I don’t even know about. Every Tuesday this month.
As you may have noticed, I have moved our dining section to the landing page for Connecticut Restaurant week. This is a great opportunity for you to get out and enjoy fine dining. One of our priorities this week (actually every week) is to find as many restaurants that we can and get discounts for you. I have detailed the discounts that we have for these restaurants in our membership section, so join if you haven’t ( it’s FREE) and check my group called “What Have We Done For You Lately” No, I am not a Janet Jackson fan (per se) but it is our way of showing you that we appreciate your support, and that we will do whatever we can to make getting social easy, and affordable. And don’t forget to check us out on Thursday for our Friday Night Happy Hour,and my weekend guide. Just so you know, our Happy Hours have been a great hit. We have averaged over 35 members at the places we have gone. This week, I am thinking of a divide and conquer style. Maybe I head out across the Connecticut River and see what sort of trouble I can get into, and have my partner in crime Mike ” what do you mean they put it all on my tab” Moretti stir it up on this side. Who knows, it could happen.
