spikeWe are here to help people socialize, have fun, and help local businesses and charities. That’s how we roll, and all of you get it. Well almost all of you. Regardless, let’s get onto the serious stuff here. Weather is iffy at best, but that’s not so bad, as mostly all the good stuff is happening indoors.

For those of you with kids, I am going to the hole on this one, and telling you the best places for you this weekend are Mystic Aquarium, and the Peabody Museum.  On any day of the week these places are the bomb. I know you already know about them, but when was the last time you went, and just wandered for the day? Methinks it’s time for a little quality time.

If you want to get started early on Halloween, Nautical Nightmares begins tonight at Mystic Seaport.

I will be publishing as complete a list of haunted hayrides, houses and parties next week, as the festivities will be going on for two weeks, so don’t miss that.

I also have a complete listing of events at The Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center, so check that out. We here at shorelineoutandabout.com are firmly committed to supporting this center. For them,it’s about celebrating a legend, and getting the community together and enriching lives. We will be there for “The Kate”, and give them all the help that we can. Tonight you can take part in Taste of Old Saybrook.

Now for all of you music junkies, check out the Events Calendar. We have The Downshift Trio, and the whole band out this weekend in Seymour, Borrowed Toys in action, Freeplay, Tall Horses, Jim Paradis, and many more. Just click on the event posting for the time and location. It’s that simple.

And, yes finally, tonite. In case you have not figured it out, we will be at KC’s tonite for Happy Hour. Thanks to someone’s attempt to stop us, this is now probably one of the most recognized signs on the Shoreline. But we are not stopping there, after that, it’s off to see the Taxmen at the Chowder Pot for a night of dancing. Whatever you choose to do, make sure that you are smart, and careful, as we love having you all around.  So get out, get social, and have the best weekend that you possibly can.

Dont forget, there’s also the Shoreline Cabaret Night Club in Branford, featuring Eight To The Bar!

And finally, there’s the Fall Bird Walks at Hammonasset Beach in Madison Saturday Morning.

Peace out!

Spike..
