Holiday Shopping Made Fun

artdecade1Why should shopping consist of fighting traffic to get to the mall, then waiting on that car to leave THE spot close to mall entrance, only to have some jerk steal it from you. Then you are just surrounded by a herd of cranky kids, and even crankier parents, only to find that the toy store is sold out of those damn “Zhuzhu” pets? So after all that, now you have to walk across that 10 acre parking lot looking for your car, because the prime spot was stolen from you, and now you are yet again fighting traffic to get home? Why can’t holiday shopping be easy and convenient? And even better yet, fun?

So here at Shoreline Out and About we have two opportunities for shopping to be just that. The first one will be at Yolo Aesthetic Boutique on Tuesday December 8th. In addition to all the super deals on procedures, Nikki will also have great deals such as buy one soy candle by yolologoPhebos and receive a Yolo soy candle for free, buy one Tassi and get one 1/2 off, buy one large designer handbag, and get $10 off the second one. Or, if you are not sure what to buy, get a $100 gift certificate, and receive $50 in Yolo bucks for yourself. Additionally, Shana Bartlett will bring her Art Decade Holiday collection. Oh, and she is also baking some serious cookies and brownies to. Now you will get a chance to taste the reason why I spend so much time in the gym. And remember that “Zhuzhu” pet you couldn’t find at the mall? Turns out that Nikki has ” Mr. Squiggles” ready to raffle off, so save yourself the hassle of going to the mall and get down to Yolo, 1010 Village Walk, Guilford.

The second show will be Shana at Auger’s Irish Pub, 23 Water Street, Guilford. I am still working on another cool vender for that show, but trust me, Shana has been pretty much been doing nothing except making her custom jewelry, so there will be plenty of her creative designs. You can also pick up your Shoreline out and about membership crds at the same time.

Pere NoelIf you should happen to have either a donation for The Community Dining Room, or Toys For Tots, go ahead and drop it off at either location, and we will make sure that it gets to where it needs to go.

And on Thursday, December 10th from 5pm to 8pm, Stony Creek Gallery will be hosting a reception for the opening of “Affordable Gems” . This reception will be co-hosted by The Stony Creek market, and The Stony Creek Package store. Admission is $5 donation for homeless veterans, or a new, unwrapped toy for Yale New Haven.\’s Auxillaries Toy Closet.
