This Friday night, January 22nd, you can catch The Bernadettes at the Georgetown Saloon, located at 8 Main St. in Georgetown, CT, their phone: (203) 544-8003. You can find the little village of Georgetown at the four corners of Redding, Ridgefield, Weston, and Wilton, adjacent to the intersection of Rt. US 7, Rt. 57, & Rt. 107. Long considered Fairfield County’s premier live music venue…we always have a great time at this place! They serve up some pretty tasty barbecue and pub grub, so feel free to arrive hungry. Showtime kicks off at 9:15…reservations or an early arrival highly recommended if you want a table as we usually pack the house here…seating is limited. Putting the call out to all of our Fairfield and nearby Westchester friends and fans to come on out…our Georgetown gigs are always a blast! For directions and info on the Georgetown Saloon, visit their website at: http://www.georgetownsaloon.com/
Saturday night, January 23rd, we return to the USS Chowder Pot III, located at 560 East Main St. in Branford, CT, their phone: (203) 481-2356. Always a huge fave amongst all of our friends and fans, the Chowder Pot is the hottest live music and dance club on the greater New Haven shoreline area! Well known for their great seafood dishes, along with their lively late night action on the dance floor…so again, arrive hungry if you so desire. We start the jams at 9:00, an early arrival or reservations are recommended as we usually fill this place too. If making reservations, make sure to let them know you are there to see the band and would like seating in the lounge area. Don’t wanna miss this party!!! Last Thursday night saw a huge, beyond capacity crowd jam pack the North Star for our special show featuring guest vocalist, Dennis Collins!!! Dennis enjoys superstar status in the area, and he certainly didn’t disappoint as he delivered the goods to a jam packed house and wildly appreciative audience…at times every square inch of the North Star had people dancing! Along with guest keyboardist, Sean Rainey, (he really rocked it also!), the band took a different approach to this nights show, playing in looser, bluesier fashion, with many extended jams…at one point Dennis turned to the band and said, “it’s like a Mississippi juke joint in here!” One helluva a fun night for us…we were told it was one of the biggest crowds they ever seen there! A big thank you to all of our Westchester and nearby Fairfield County friends and fans for coming out and all the support you give us at our North Star shows. And a special thanks to Dave, Phil, superstar bartender Mark…and poor bartender Anthony (who had the night off and just came out to see show, and got pressed into duty behind the bar), and the rest of the staff at North Star for your hospitality. The show was such a success that North Star wants to try it again, look for us to return there with Dennis again on Thu., Feb. 25…see ya’ll then!
Friday night, we enjoyed a packed house at Rowley’s in Norwalk…it had been awhile since we were there last. Forgot how much fun it is there! We enjoyed a full dance floor all night…even had a few folks who caught us the night before at North Star come out to see us again! We appreciate all of you who came out, thank you! Also gotta thank Fergus and the rest of the crew at Rowley’s for taking care of the band. We will likely be returning to Rowley’s sometime this summer, as soon as we confirm some new dates, we’ll have them posted on the website.
As expected, we had another jam packed, standing room only crowd at Johnny Ray’s!!! This venue has definitely become a big favorite amongst all of our friends and fans…we always appreciate the huge turnout we receive from all of you when we perform at Johnny Ray’s! The house was rockin’ all night, and another packed dance floor! Of course gotta give a shout out to Ray, Julie, John, and the bartenders and staff at Johnny Ray’s for always treating us like family. Mark your calendars, we return to Johnny Ray’s on Fri., Feb. 12…see ya then!
Upcoming shows: next weekend…Fri., Jan. 29 at Slainte Pub & Eatery in Naugatuck, CT…Sat., Jan. 30 at Jake’s Martini Bar in Wallingford, CT…Sun., Jan 31 at Daniel Street in Milford, CT (live video taping).
And on a sadder note, our thoughts and prayers are going out to the people of Haiti, and especially to any of our friends and fans who may be of Haitian descent and have family there…please give to the relief effort!
Have great weekend and hope to share it with some of you,
