First off, congrats to Christine Baldwin who will  be checking out Cris Barron at The Kate. And thanks to Chuck Still, executive director for making it happen. we will be doing more of this in the future, so stand by for more free tickets, to more great venues.

I am going to make this brief, and am focusing on the music scene this week, because there is good stuff happening everywhere. matter of fact, this is just the highlights. Check the events calender for a full listing.

Tonight, we have Joe Bouchard, from Blue Oyster Cult at The Kate, along with Amalgamated Muck. I will be out east for Dan Moretti at The Jazz Underground in New London, but am going to try to catch Sue Menhart at Burke’s Tavern in Niantic, and/or Branded at Christopher’s in Groton. By the way, Branded’s tag is “Country that Rocks“! And trust me on that one, these guys bring it. Up in Cromwell The Taxmen have an early show at Rookies, The Crop Dusters are at the Hitchin Post in Durham, The Mystic Horns are at The Voodoo Grill in Mystic, and Frantic City is at J Roos in North Haven. The Bernadettes have their running shoes on this weekend. Tonite it’s Monster B’s in Stamford, and tomorrow nite, The StoneBridge in Milford.

Saturday night, 2 Cat Zoo hits The Black Sheep in Niantic, Sue Menhart is back at it, this time Riverwalk in Mystic, Of course Cris Barron from The Spin Doctors hits “The Kate“,  it’s Jazz Night 2010 at The Ivoryton Playhouse. This is a benefit for The Killingworth Art Center. Speaking of Killingworth, The Cartells are in town over at June’s Outback.

So that’s the tip of the iceberg. Check out the events calender for much more. Oh, it’s that Superbowl weekend thing going on to. But, that is a story for another day. As in tomorrow. Too much stuff going on, so that’s a story all to itself.
